AIDS is alive and well in a new generation of teenagers and young adults, most of them young men, who are having risky sex, often fueled by drugs or alcohol, U.S. officials said Tuesday.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued a new report showing that more than a quarter of new U.S. infections are in youths aged 13 to 24, and 60 percent of them don’t even know it. That means they can spread the virus and, worse, aren’t getting treated for it.
The human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) that causes AIDS cannot be cured, and it will kill people who are not treated for it. But a cocktail of drugs can keep patients healthy and if they take their medication consistently, they are far less likely to infect someone else.
The CDC estimates that 12,200 young men and women aged 13 to 24 became infected with HIV in 2010. And by far most of them were boys and men. Nearly three-quarters were boys and men having sex with other men. And more than half of the newly infected youths were African American.
The report “really provides shocking data on the higher rate of risky behavior and the lower rate of condom use” among young men, CDC Director Dr. Thomas Frieden told reporters on a conference call.
The report finds that just 13 percent of high school students have been tested for the virus and just 35 percent of 18 to 24 year olds have been.
“Young gay and bisexual men report much higher levels of risky sexual behavior than their heterosexual peers,” Frieden said. They are more likely to have multiple sex partners, use drugs and alcohol before sex – which makes them in turn more likely to skip using condoms and tsake on other risks, too.
A separate CDC survey of high school kids and young adults found that young gay and bisexual men were more likely to report having had sex with four or more partners. They were also more likely to have injected drugs – another risk factor for AIDS, although most are infected sexually.
The answer, the CDC says, is a combination of testing, treatment and good sex education in schools.
“I don’t think there is a simple answer for this but we are not in support of mandatory testing,” Frieden said.
"The key here is to make it routine screening, just like we have cholesterol screening," Frieden added. "If someone refuses, that is their right, but we should say, ‘This is what we do’."
People who are tested can get treated. “If we double the number of people treated effectively, we we cut in half, roughly, the number of new infections that will occur,” Frieden added.
But kids are not getting this information now, said the CDC’s Dr. Kevin Fenton, who leads the AIDS branch. “I have to tell you, it is astonishing, the level of ignorance about basic physiology among middle school and high school students,” Fenton said.
“Kids who are gay or bisexual were less likely to say they had received sex education in schools,” Fenton added. It’s crucial they get medically accurate sex education, and multi-faceted programs that help young men and women learn about sex, sexually transmitted disease, and how to say no not only to sex but to drugs and alcohol, too.
“Youth who are sexually active can reduce their risk of HIV infection by choosing to stop having sex. They can also limit their number of sex partners, not have sex with an older partner who may be more likely to already have HIV, and use a condom every time,” CDC says.
The CDC estimates that 50,000 people are infected with HIV in the United States each year, and that about 1 million Americans are currently infected with the virus.
“Nearly 60 percent of new infections in youth occur in African Americans, about 20 percent in Hispanics/Latinos, and about 20 percent in whites," Tuesday’s report says.
“About 87 percent of young males got HIV from male-to-male sex, 6 percent from heterosexual sex, 2 percent from injection drug use and about 5 percent from a combination of male-to-male sex and injection drug use," the report adds.
Saturday is World AIDS Day and the HIV research and advocacy organization AVAC released its own report Tuesday questioning last week’s UNAIDS report that raised the hope that HIV might be eliminated.
“Recent scientific breakthroughs give us reason to be optimistic like never before, but our chances of success are already imperiled,” said AVAC executive director Mitchell Warren. “Right now, the world isn’t moving as fast as it should be to begin ending the epidemic.”
AVAC’s report notes that far too few people are getting HIV drugs.
“A range of studies is looking at ways to narrow this gap, but these efforts are uncoordinated and incomplete. In 2013, researchers and funders need to convene and establish a clear research and implementation agenda to close the gaps in the treatment cascade,” the group said.
There's no vaccine for HIV, although researcher feel they may be getting close. Researchers have also shown that circumcision can protect men from being infected by sex with women -- although it's not effective among gay or bisexual men. And work is also progressing on a microbicide -- a gel or cream that might protect people from sexual transmission of HIV and other diseases.

It is understandable you can advratise Kotex on TV, that is fine but don't advertise condums , no wonder, thank the Catolic Church for saying advertising condums is a no no, IDIOTS, let them spread it and call it a population adjustment
You spelled "Catholic" wrong, but I also have something else to thank them for: The let my friend re-marry into their church after a divorce. Of course they charged $1,200 yeah you read it right! $1,200 for the annulment and the "privilege" to use their spiritual guidance. That didn't include any other regular wedding fees-- the church piled them on as well!
Before you call other people Idiots , learn to spell . Condom not CondUm .
Really? You mean it's not the liberal media that keeps increasingly promoting promiscuity as being ok? You mean it's not the continuing push toward the "comprehensive" sex ed approach that's supposed to be preventing all this? You mean it's not the people who keep saying homosexuality is a-ok despite the increased risk factor?
And kids already know about condoms. Just how much advertising do they need in order to start using them? What makes you think seeing them advertised a little more on tv is going to magically make them smart enough to start using them if they aren't already?
They tried giving out free contraceptives in South Africa once, and people still didn't use them.
Bash the Catholics all you want, but remember, it's not the parochial schools that are having all these problems with teen pregnancy and HIV.
We need better sex education that combines the comprehensive approach with the abstinence only approach. That is, sex education that includes every option with abstinence being promoted as the best, which has been shown to work better than the other two.
Obviously, we need to do something different. If the liberal approach to sex ed is working so well then why are we still having these problems?
Condoms should be included with Obamacare....j/k
This doesn't surprise me. There is sex everywhere, in movies, internet, music. These young kids see everything and they know everything about sex. They know about condoms. They just don't want to use any kind of protection.
Morals are not being taught to the young generation, so..............
no more blame. There are no excuses anymore. Plain and simple.
Your atrocious spelling, grammar and punctuation literally begs for some kind of hitherto unknown prophylactic literary device to prevent the unwanted breakout and spread of posts like yours. Not only that, the reality that your comment made it to this thread first is analogous to that one sperm out of two million that makes it to the egg first and brings us a Charlie Manson, Bill O'Reilly or Rush Limbaugh. There is no justice or fairness in the bio jungle, my HIV-like friend.
"60 percent of them don’t even know it. That means they can spread the virus and, worse, aren’t getting treated for it."
-That they are spreading it seems FAR worse to me than the fact they are not getting treatment.
It's not the Catholic church's fault that AIDS has become an epidemic in the United States - Ronald Reagan didn't publicly acknowledge the disease until years after it had been discovered and even then, he had a pathetic policy regarding AIDS and gave insufficient funding for research on treatment/cures of the disease. He went so far as to prevent his surgeon general from talking about AIDS.
Also, try taking a look at the "religious right" during that time who claimed that AIDS was the "cure" for homosexuals.
do you really think there are people out there that dont know what a condom is or how one works? seriously are you high again?
argumentativebutfair: Don't know where you're from, but teen sex is pretty pervasive evreywhere, and that includes parochial schools! Moral concepts can be taught, internalization of morals is a little tougher, and teen hormones vs. "teachings" is no competition at all--raging hormones and/or teen pressure wins. Comprehensive sex ed is comprehensive-it includes abstinence, stressing that it is the only preventative method that is 100% effective.
And for all you Darwinists out there: these are teens. The young men are fairly likely to try sex both ways, which means that at some point an unknowing (or uncaring) infected young man is likely to have sex with a female. (BTW, "black" churches almost universally condemn homosexuality, even when their "white" counterparts of the same denomination are much more liberal on the issue-which makes it tough for LGBT teens to accept their sexual orientation, thus they keep "trying to be straight") If a teen girl is using some type of contraception herself, she is unlikely to insist that her partner use condoms.
I've seen condoms advertised on television and radio, not sure what rock you've been living under. Plus, condoms are promoted everywhere young people are. The fact is, young people have a sense of invincibility and will always take unnecessary risks, including unprotected sex. Stop blaming the Catolic (or Catholic) church for this.
The medications were incredibly expensive for my brother-in-law. He was infected in 2009 and the medications were $1600 per month. He lives on a pension and he immigrated to Canada so he could get the medication for free. I guess he will move back to the U.S. now that he can get on Obama Care.
Obamacare is NOT a government run healthcare plan that everyone here gets, have you been living under a rock? Your brother would unfortunately have to still buy health insurance from a private insurance company mandated by law or pay a penalty, and it would be quite expensive for him.
Obama Care is health insurance and not health care.
Wrong, wrong, wrong. The affordable health care act requires everyone to buy health insurance that can afford it. Those that cannot afford it are issued supplements. The huge pool of insured Americans will lower costs tremendously while paying for those unable to pay.
The flip-side to this is to continue to allow insurance companies to deny those at risk, cut off those that become at risk and continue to raise rates exponentially. Those unable to pay the blackmailing insurance companies will continue to use the much more expensive emergency rooms on our dimes. As rates continue to climb, more and more Americans will be forced into the E.R. One of them might even be you or me.
Actually, it's a tax.
87% contract HIV from Male to Male contact. Welcome to the 21st century according to the Gays. What is it? Being Gay is a normal thing......yeah right. Men are not intended to have sex with each other. But in todays immoral society if you say gay is wrong you are condemed. And if you say it is wrong beacuse God says it is wrong you are condemed.
Nobody in the gay community has yet to figure out why there are consequences for their actions and disobeying the word of God. I don't hate gay's, I hate what they are doing.
So come on now lay it on me thick, I am ready to be condemed for what I say. But it is still the truth.
u r gay
He wants it laid on him thick.
where did you get that statistic when the article says 60% of the youth with it don't even know it?
Sorry, gay is about 5%; that is not normal. 95% is normal. That said, gays are people who deserve health care. They also have to assume the responsibility for their behavior and need to use condoms and practice monogamous sex. There is no god or gods. Aids like all diseases, the product of evolution. Fight it by using condoms and practicing monogamous sex.
Dale. There is a God. And yes, disease happens. But, disease that is spread mostly through sexual activity could be prevented in most cases by not having sex. Unfortunate but true. If you don't want aids, don't have sex with someone who has aids or at least protect yourself by using preventative measures, the most important of which is to abstain from having sex with someone of the same gender as you. Plain and simple. Sad but true. You can't pretend it doesn't happen because of it. If it's evolution, so be it. Nature is telling you to stop having sex with same gendered people. It isn't natural. If it was, there wouldn't be aids.
Ugh... Where to start...
#1. AIDS is NOT strictly a homosexual thing.
#2. Being homosexual, or bisexual, isn't a choice... Much like you didn't choose to be straight (assuming you are)... There is no choosing what your sexual preference is. Sorry.
#3. Not everyone believes in your "God". Which "God" are you referring to? There's many religions.
#4. The Bible has so much crap in it. Some food for thought:
The eating of fat is prohibited forever. (Lev 3:17)
You cannot round the corners of your beard or the hair on your temples. (Lev 19:27)
Witches should be killed. (Ex 22:18)
The congregation was to be a bastard free zone. The Bible was so dead set against bastards that their children, even to the tenth generation, could not enter the assembly of the Lord. (Duet 23:2) This is in keeping with God's principle of punishing children for the wrongdoings of their parents.
Handicapped people could not approach God. Their presence would profane his sanctuary. (Lev 21:16-23) This scripture single-handedly offends almost every category of handicapped persons you can name. The blind, lame, injured, hunchbacks and dwarfs are specifically named. If anyone is left out, the catchall phrase "anyone with a blemish" is thrown in to cover them. I guess in Israel, the handicapped parking stalls were at the far end of the parking lot.
Entrance into the assembly of the Lord was granted only to those with complete testicles. (Duet 23:1) Now, I will admit that keeping one's testicles in tact is a pursuit worthy of some attention, but I have to ask: What went on in the "assembly of the Lord" that required a complete and full set of testicles? And, since testicles are usually not on display, was there someone at the gate assigned to check?
Anyone working on the Sabbath is to be killed. (Ex 35:2) This law was to protect the sanctity of Sunday afternoon football. Unfortunately, any player that touched the ball would have to be killed after the game, because he had touched a dead pig. (Lev 11:7,8) That would certainly make it easier to play defense.
Menstruating women and everything they touch are unclean. The only cure for this uncleanness was for the priest to kill a couple of pigeons. (Lev 15:19-30) What could be more logical?
If a couple has sex during the woman's period, the two are to be cut off from their people. (Lev 20:18) Once again, how would anyone know that this had happened? The couple is obviously not going to tell. Maybe the genital inspector from the temple made house calls.
Women were officially second class citizens. They were considered possessions that were owned, (Prov 12:4) and were officially subordinate (1 Cor 14:33,34).
Homosexual men were to be executed. (Lev 20:13) No mention is made of homosexual women.
If a woman grabs a man's privates during a fight, her hand is to be cut off. (Duet 25:11,12) Now, is it really necessary to have this law on the books? You get the impression that the person who was writing the laws had recently experienced this and was still a little pissed off.
False prophets are to be killed by their own parents. (Zech 13:3)
Stubborn children were to be stoned, and the stoning was to be instigated by their parents. (Duet 21:18-21)
And whatever you do, don't ever, ever, ever, pee against the wall (1 kings 16:11 KJV). OK, I know. The phrase "anyone who pees against the wall" is just a euphemism for men. I just couldn't resist this one.
Why is God sparing lesbians? The CDC has no reported cases of female-to-female transmission. Women get HIV from heterosexual sex and/or from drug use. However, according to many of you homophobes, men giving it to women is the cure, like in most parts of the world? Think again. God isn't punishing anyone because of sexual orientation. Perhaps behavior, but not orientation.
Signed,
Happily lesbian.
Brenda - I'll straighten you twat out...
Smartest action anyone can take is to not have sex with anyone at all. Way too dangerous out there to be risking your life and or be on drugs for it for the rest of your life. The epidemic is far worse than the CDC realizes.
Nobody can do it better than your own hand, right?
If you've ever had GOOD sex, you'd realize how silly that sounds. And if you've ever taken a sex-ed course, you'd know the risks and how to avoid them.
It's a shame that so many people can deny that sex is a natural and important part of life, or be so ignorant and afraid of something that can be so wonderful, or turn it into a religious thing, but they're the ones who will get sick and possibly die so that's to be expected. They pass these silly beliefs on to their kids, too.
The rest of us will survive and continue to evolve, enjoying sex for fun along the way.
God - I believe like you that sex is a natural and important part of life. Studies have shown in fact that having regular sex helps your longevity, outlook on life, etc etc etc. And it is a basic instinct, one of the most important really since propogation of the species is important to all creatures on Earth.
I have to disagree, however, that people that are "ignorant and afraid of something that can be so wonderful, or turn it into a religious thing, but they're the ones who will get sick and possibly die so that's to be expected". That is a load of BS, and I think you know it. I have no statistical numbers to back up what I think, but I'm willing to bet that the people getting HIV are less religious and know more about sex than the average person. They are also more likely to be drug users (there are stats for that).
People shouldn't be afraid of sex or consider it taboo, but those that fit that description are not the ones getting HIV. I think we can say that with a fair degree of logical accuracy...
Tim, most aids infections are spread through sex. While sex is a natural part of life, having sex with infected people or people of your same gender is not natural and not healthy.
In what sense is it "not natural?" Homosexual behavior has been observed throughout human history. It's widespread among many species of animals. So what is it-- supernatural? Is gay sex some kind of poltergeist that you refuse to believe in?
Lev - Albinoism is common too among a great many species. That makes it common, but not normal. Homosexuality is not normal either, no matter how common it may be. Don't confuse the two...
What this report really shows is that HIV is rapidly spreading once more through the gay community with 60% of new infections in African males. This should be something the GLBT community is pushing to have national attention focused on to protect our youth. But that isn't happening at all. Instead numerous statements earlier this year from them, claimed HIV is being spread by mostly by heterosexuals.
One of two ways this article does mention, stopping sex ,is one of the primary ways to prevent the spread of this disease. Not just using condoms. Since there is no cure nor vaccine, you would think people would get this message out to kids. So why isn't the GLBT helping our youth by telling them to stop first?
We humans seem to think doing whatever we want is fine, consequences are secondary. Instead of considering the consequences first, and choosing not to do the behaviors to begin with.Giving into everything we desire will end up having some really bad consequences at times. We would be foolish to expect anything else.If we haven't learned that growing up by the time we are teenagers, we have no one to blame but ourselves.
Being responsible by learning self control isn't something people seem to want to hear, let alone learn. Because it isn't easy. And sex is a powerful desire and appetite. No wonder people are willing to risk death to feed it.Parents must step up and take responsibility to teach their children about HIV and other STD's because society will not care what happens to them in the end, as much as they should. Especially with the super STDs now.
It is amazing where some males will put their junk.
Yours (or your husband's/boyfriend's) might be junk, but mine is a fine instrument. Poor you!
Not all homosexuals engage in anal sex. Fail.
Maybe we should stop plying our 12 year old daughters with birth control and morning after pills which do nothing against disease? Or telling 12 year old boys ill equipped to handle sex to go out and have fun and expect them to be responsible, they can't even do their homework and keep their room clean and we expect them to have sex responsibly? Not likely...
So Mike, do you think 13 year old girls are fit to be mothers? If they won't clean their rooms when told, do you really think they will not have sex? Give the condoms and kept them as busy as possible until they are a responsible 16. (:-;)
Well Dale maybe parent your kids, believe it or not not every 13 year old is having sex, pretty much just the ones who parents are too busy or too apathetic to be bothered raising them properly.
It always cracks me up when people think that if parents "parent better" kids will not be sexually active. (or do drugs, drink alcohol, drive irresponsibly, etc.) Involved parenting helps, especially with the younger ones, but believe it or not, kids make poor choices even when their parents guide them in the right direction. It really does take a village to raise some teens. I'm thankful for every caring teacher, every adult relative, and every parent of one of my kid's friends who took the time to be another mentor to my children (especially my incorrigible son who has grown into a resposible adult himself) And I've never had a parent be upset with me for reiterating factual information to their children.
There's couple of youtube videos getting rapid views about young beautiful and attractive people spreading HIV and AIDS.. can you believe this? It's like the new fear that's going around.. it's sickening... Makes me want to continue to avoid human contact and thank the lucky stars I haven't been a statistic. ^_^
New? That's old.
Where have you been?
don't people value their lives.....and want to live....why chance it
I think the CDC does a good job, but once again they put out a news release with an "infected" number that includes a large supposed percentage of unknown infections. I wish they would stop doing that. It looks very self serving to inflate the infected number by more than 2x the data set.
I understand their methodology in it, because they figure if so many people have been tested positive, then there must also be some people out there who haven't been tested that are also infected. But they assume a lot of parameters to get to that 60% without having a good basis for those assumptions.
They aren't statisticians there, that isn't their job. But I think they turn people off when they make claims like the 60% one in this story, and if deflects from the important message they are trying to provide...
There are a ton of statisticians at the CDC.
No, there aren't.
Aids/HIV should be handled like all other serious communicable diseases. All suspected infections tested, their contacts traced, identified and tested, and treatment /counseling provided. The CDC and responsible government/medical authorities wouldn't allow anything else for any other such disease.
As long as everyone wants to be politically correct and let everyone play roulette it will continue to spread amongst the groups noted in the article and only get worse. Ever count up the cost of treatment over a lifetime that will have to be covered by a government program? Fifteen years from now it will be the single most expensive medical cost under government programs and the government cost control board won't say let them die like the over 65 crowd.
A total disaster in the making.
I'm sorry but if you are gay and having unprotected sex in this day and age you are stupid and the only thing that cures stupid is death. There are much quicker and less painful ways to kill yourself.
AIDS isn't strictly a homosexual thing. Enough said.
The CDC estimates that 12,200 young men and women aged 13 to 24 became infected with HIV in 2010. And by far most of them were boys and men. Nearly three-quarters were boys and men having sex with other men.
Now that's karma.
You people really come out of the woodwork with stuff like this. Sad.
Please stop misusing "Karma ."
You'll understand Karma in your next life.
There is no karma. There is no next life. When you die you cease to exist. Accept that now and you might appreciate the finite time you have instead of worrying about what will happen the non-existent next time...
Well ya, I blame Hollywood and all the crap they put out. Of course, it still falls back on the parents.
If we would have had sex education back in the 50s and 60s when I was going to school, we would have had the same problem, especially with the boys. We did try, but the girls wouldn't go for it cuz they were afraid of getting pregnant. Today, they just take the morning after pill and everything is super cool, except for aids.
You can say what you want, but I believe we have lost our morality. We now live in a society where if it feels good just do it. Problem is, there are consequences and it goes a lot deeper than just sex.
If we look at history over the last 5,000 years, we find that every time a people lose morality, they lose everything.
i'm fine with most of the stuff you said towards the end but hollywood? show me the movie where the say that two men having unprotected intercourse is a good idea and rad/hip? Pretty sure that that movie doesn't exist so stop blaming the movie industry for everything when they haven't had real cultural influence since MTV came out
We did have sex education back in the 50s and the 60s because I took the classes.
Where were you, out in the porta potty having sex?
It is time to let AIDS follow a Darwinian path. If homosexuals want to eliminate their class, let them. Don't ask the world to save them from their foolish behavior!
Sorry, homosexuals aren't going anywhere. Again, AIDS isn't strictly a homosexual thing. And again, it still amazes me what comes out of the woodwork on these forums.
@rober34
Thanks for the best laugh I've had all day.
Let's review your logic: We let AIDS take its course. This will eliminate homosexuals thereby eliminating AIDS. If we treat AIDS, then homosexuals will keep on having sex and producing more homosexuals.
I want you to put on your thinking cap and try to find the error in that reasoning. (Hint: Do gay people make babies when they have sex?)
Hilarious.
GAYbies. Duh!
Risk taking = Pinheads
You go, pinheads. Infect each other and die, so we don't have to look at you. BuhBye!
Notice how it is males having sex with males that is causing most of the increase. Of course, no one will recognize that aids is actually mostly spread through homosexual lifestyles. No, of course not. The only way to stop aids is for people with aids to stop having sex. It's that simple. Sorry, but true. You can say condom all you want, but it's not full proof.
The expressions are "sad but true" and "foolproof," you uneducated ignorant bumpkin.
And what a fine bigoted day you are going to have fool!
Expressions are handy, but not mandatory. Perhaps "full proof" refers to capacity limitations.
Even bigoted fools can be accurate. Jim, how about some supportive evidence to the contrary? Does sitting on that little donut pillow interfere with your balance?
87% of all aids cases come from gay males. This desease cost America hundreds of millions of dollars each year because gays can't get it thorugh their heads, you have to wear a condom or give up the colon cowboy outfits. Will they ever learn? Not until they have to start paying the bill and are charged with aggrevated assualt for sleeping with someone without telling them, they have aids.Unbelievable!Lets see, blacks make up 13% of population and 40% of welfare recipients.Latinos make up 28% of the population and 35% of welfare recipients. If we want to save money and reduce the deficit,we should just refuse treatment to aids patients on welfare. That would cause a 75% drop in welfare recipients.Write your congressman!
Sigh... As I said before, I really don't want to live on this planet anymore. Keep up your hate... Karma is a bitch.
You know her, too?!
But why bring her up? I can understand you're mad, but insulting Karma Jackson for no reason is not cool.
Regardless, sorry Karma baby, but you's still a bitch!
Disturbing, if true. Either of you butt bandits have contradicting evidence?
100% of actual facts are true. While only .08% of wishful hypotheses are.
The originating figures should be provided alongside evidence. Don't fall into the trap where the first unsupported thing you read is true.
You should be asking for supporting evidence of the first claim, not contradicting evidence.
I wouldn't touch the model on the Fiat commercials,if I could,without a condom.But I don't have to worry about turning her down,i'm married. LOL
Exactly. Education is key.
Being a gay male, I'd never have unprotected sex with another male. Misconception #1: AIDS is a gay disease. Another misconception: All gays engage in anal sex. Not true.
But, as I said before, the homophobes really come out of the woodwork when stuff like this is posted.
It makes me sad, because I can't become straight... I am who I am... I just want to be a normal citizen with equal rights. You leave me alone, I'll leave you alone... I just equal rights, and not to be treated like a second class citizen.
You have equal rights already. There isn't anything under the Constitution that I can do and you cannot.
Unless you are talking about marriage - which isn't a right. Marriage is nothing more than a section of the tax code. Like a driver's license or a businesss license or any other license, you meet the requirements and pay a fee and you can get one. Some states that means a man and a woman, other states it means any two people. Fit the requirement and you can get the license.
They main thing to remember is: do NOT have sex with Haitian-Bisexual-Green monkey IV drug users. The Blue ones are okay.
Also, wear a condom.
No matter - - As they say here in the deep deep south, Darwin was right -- --
Now, to buy shares in the gravedigger's union and set up some more crematoria.
I wonder if we can ust these bodies for Soylent Green?
MJ1986 -
Thank you for your posts, up to this point. Very enlightening perspectives, sound data, and you are well versed with biblical scripture. All in all, posts such as yours make any discussion meaningful.
Now, before any of the panels peel away from the woodwork, and splinters me for attempting to defend homosexuals, save your fingers from the endeavor. The gay community is very adept at standing their own ground with logic and persuasion, which seeks equality and fairness that we, as heterosexuals, experience on a daily basis.
Unfortunately, those heterosexuals posting bias, hate, and levels of stupidity that seem impossible to reach, should really stop posting all their emotional garbage (anything emotional is seldom logical). Please, take the time to think things through, i.e., "the Bible says God hates gays;" "AIDS is a gay penalty for sin;" "Anal sex and gays are the only cause for HIV," to name only a few. All of that garbage is presuppositional hyperbole without any thinking required.
Christ, people, all this is hate (emotional), and that is what I frequently read on posts such as these. By thinking your thoughts through, you are allowing your brain to process your thoughts, so your emotional tirade can be processed (thought through) into cognitive/rational thinking.
Doesn't anyone ever get tired of bashing other people for no other reason than other half-wits do it?
That is what is mindless. I will take life on another planet anyday to get away from all the judges and juries on this one.
See you there, MJ1986!
Shameful, half were black.
This must be a part of the white devil's plot ....
Everything is part of the white devil's plot, as they told you when you were forced to write your post. Alzheimer's?
if only there were a way for people to prevent themselves from getting this disease... oh that's right just don't have unprotected sex with people you don't know are clean or share needles with them. Just message me to get the information on where to send the Nobel Prize to.
