Reports that a Mexican woman is pregnant with nine babies are not true, according to El Diario de Coahuila, the local newspaper in the town were the woman lives.
Mexican television stations aired interviews with Karla Vanessa Perez of the northeastern state of Coahuila, which borders Texas, where she claimed fertility treatments led to this multiple pregnancy and also that she already had triplets.
The story was widely reported by various media outlets, including msnbc.com.
But when reporters from the Mexican newspaper investigated, they learned she’s actually not pregnant at all. Her mother, Francisca Castañeda, told El Diario de Coahuila that Perez has three children, ages 15, 12 and 4 and after the last was born, had an operation to prevent her from getting pregnant again.
David Vila, a reporter with Telemundo, also contacted the office of Mexico’s Secretary of Health, which confirmed she wasn't pregnant. The office had initially reached out to her to offer to help.
José Salvador Gallegos Mata, a member of the Mexican Society of Gynecology and Urology told the newspaper that someone who would make such false claims “needs to urgently say ‘I’m here. Please look at me, I exist.'” He added, “That woman needs urgent psychological treatment.”

This is a racial thing. Mexico is over running America and destroying it! Why the hell do they even have fertility drugs down there? They spread like roaches on their own.
The west is TRYING to be economical. There is low birth because people know they can't afford children. And the ones who CAN afford children and are infertile, go to a doc with enough common F&@!* sense to implant an appropriate number of ebryos so that things like NINE freaking babies doesn't happen (with the exception of octomom's doc). I hope they yank his (and octodoc's) practice from under his feet. And i hope even more that America doesn't feel the need to be part of this experiment and bring them here for us to take care of them for eternity.
If you're such a religious naturalist type, why do you approve of fertility treatment anyway? Shouldn't it all happen naturally?

yeah yeah there is a lack of resources and jobs for anymore poverty sticken families to come to america, but no they are not destroying it. I dont see one city in ruins because of mexican illegal people here. Maybe if we acted like an adult and not a teenage girl throwing a PMS fit that makes no sense to anyone, we might have a chance to change our conditions and conditions for those seeking American life....just dont show off how rediculous you are....ok

I'm no fan of the Duggers, but at least they don't have litters all at once and at least they support their own.
Why is this legal? Don't doctor's have some sort of ethics board? I don't care what country this happens in, including USA, it should NOT be allowed. As long as the reality TV crowd pays to watch these train wrecks (think Octomom, the Duggars and Jon and Kate) the mentally disturbed will continue having litters for their 15 minutes. Not one of them gives a rat's ass about the children and their quality of life. I rescued hamsters for awhile and I wouldn't even have 8 because I couldn't give them the attention and care they deserved...those were HAMSTERS. What the ever-loving hell is wrong with people?!?

In my opinion, women aren't supposed to give birth to a "liter" of babies. We aren't animals. I just assume I and everyone else on this forum will be supporting her and the babies because the lack of her having a brain. Just hope those babies have a happy and healthy life. Sad, Sad, Sad!
Personnally speaking, and this is just my opinion, but I believe there is a reason why some woman can't have children and this is to keep the world's population down. Fertility treatment is against nature.
Speaking for myself, I would prefer to have babies made the old fashion way, not any damn fertility treatment way. I do realize that some may need that treatment, but to have that many babies at once, uck. She sure wasn't thinking correctly.
And yes, lets hope that what happens in Mexico stays in Mexico.

Good LORD! Why in the hell do people try to have this many babies at one time. I think it's unethical, inhumane and absurd that doctors implant that many embryos into a woman’s uterus. There's a good chance that every embryo will develop. There should be laws limiting the implantation of embryos to no more than 3. I sure as hell would not want 8-9 babies at one time. My dog's mother never had more than 6 so why do people think its okay or safe to have that many? People don't think about the risk factors to the babies and that's the MOST IMPORTANT aspect of pregnancy. Here's another mother that will stay on federal assistance just to feed her children. At least my tax money isn't paying for her.

Fertilized implanted eggs can split. You implant 2 or 3 and they split and bim bam boom. Personally, I took the shots. Via ultrasound they saw 8 eggs...at a later ultrasound it was 3. They decided to go ahead with my IUI. When they did my first test, they thought it was twins. I only had 1 baby. Sure Octomom had all of them put in. Most do not. It happens.

This is past irresponsible, it is criminally stupid.
She should be arrested and charged with child endangerment but I have a sneaking suspicion that all 9 of those babies will end up US citizens on welfare

Each one will cost around 1 million for the neonatal intensive care units care for 1 to 2 mos, poss be blind etc., etc.

My thoughts too. A new mother of one has it tough and trying to make a bond/connection - OMG w/nine it's impossible. I worry for their health and well being. I also find it very selfish on the part of these women that have liters.
I hope the border patrol is on the look out for this woman.
Where are all the fundies now to protest this crap...THIS, more than anything is not gods way and should not be messed with...and all these kids, if any live, will have birth defects...great, more burden on society...stop this, if they were meant to have children then they would. Hasn't anyone ever heard of natural selection?? Even Sulemon is having her kids taken away because of neglect...not meant to be a parent...
